Summer Wedding The Nest at Ruth Farms with Pink, Blush and Cream Flowers

The Nest at Ruth Farms is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Dallas, Texas! A white barn, with gorgeous doors, chairs and furniture, you can pair almost any color palate with this venue. Located in Ponder, Texas - north of Downtown Dallas - this wedding venue is one of my favorites to design in for my clients.

Katie and Luis fell in love with The Nest at Ruth Farms, when they rounded the corner, and saw that magnificent barn staring at them. Her parents, (who had flown in earlier in the day in their private plane!) were equally impressed. Upon leaving the tour, Katie and Luis knew they wanted to plan their wedding and reception at this spectacular new building!

When someone says they want to DIY a portion of their wedding, I get nervous. Katie had made some “cranes” for her wedding, and we decided that we should hang them in the door entrance to the ceremony. Well, they were magnificent, and I was very impressed with Katie and her handiwork. Wouldn’t you say so also?

Gorgeous color palate of blush, pink and creams – it was a wonderful accent to The Nest at Ruth Farms. With white chairs to play with, and gorgeous peach colored tablecloths, these tall and short flowers were the perfect accent to this venue and for Katie and Luis.

The first look

We love when a bride and groom have a “first look”. This is an opportunity for them to see each other before the wedding ceremony, and a time for just the two of them. In fact, my favorite photographer, Shauna Benoit-Wyatt with K&S Photography, will not allow anyone to watch this special time between the bride and groom. It is meant to be sacred just for them.

Stealing a kiss at the end of the aisle after getting married, is a favorite moment of ours during the wedding ceremony!

And then they magically appeared at the balcony at the top of the venue, The Nest at Ruth Farms. Such fun for the guests below, to welcome the couple to their reception!

Oh, this cake! Hand painted birds by Lauren, with Fancy Cakes by Lauren. She’s pretty amazing, and I think this cake is one of my all time favorites of hers! She is truly an artist, and we love her work with wedding cakes!

Could this venue be any prettier? The Nest at Ruth Farms is phenomenal.

An exit with sparklers

An exit among sparklers is always fun! And when your parents have arranged for a surprise horse and carriage for your getaway, what could be more fun? Katie and Luis loved it!
